FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The first step is coming in for a chat with our head coach to find out more about you, your training history, anything of note like health conditions or injuries and then we can answer any questions you might have. From there you’ll do a foundations course to either learn or show proficiency in some of our movements like the olympic lifts. This allows our coaches to see where you are currently to be able to adapt workouts to suit you as well as build a solid foundation of movement and confidence before going into classes. CrossFit is constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity. So that means we use a whole host of different movements from cardio, bodyweight movement and weightlifting to get you fitter than any other training methodology. CrossFit is the only training style improves all 10 components of fitness.
This will all depend on a few factors, mainly whether you want to work 1-2-1 with a coach or as part of our small group classes and then how often you’ll be training. We work off a prescription model so once we have a chat and get to know your needs we can work with you to prescribe the best method to get you the results you want that suits your availability and budget.
We are based in Dalry, really centrally located between 5 and 15 minutes drive from most places in North Ayrshire. You can put Peak Fitness CrossFit into google maps or Sat Nav KA24 5JD. When you pass The Factory Shop keep going until you get to the turning for DSM factory and turn down the road to the car park. Once turned off the main road take the very next right hand turn after the first speed bump and you should see the big sign for Peak Fitness CrossFit. The main door is the last one on the far side of the building.
Yes! As parents ourselves we know how difficult it can be to prioritise yourself with young children and we don’t want childcare to be another hurdle to you getting your training in. We have a mezzanine level which looks onto the gym floor with toys, lego, drawing and crafts and a TV and wifi to keep your little ones occupied whilst you get your workout in.

At Peak Fitness CrossFit we recommend training 3 times a week to begin with to see real, tangible results. You can still expect to see results by attending twice a week, but you’ll fast-track your progress if you regularly attend 3 times every week.
We use the CrossFit training methodology but in a group personal training environment. Our classes are capped at 12 people with the average class being around 7 or 8. With our world class facility and top of the line equipment that allows everyone access to what they need for each class.
All you need to bring is yourself, a bottle of water and your phone to log your workouts on our app. Come in clothes you are comfortable moving in. If you have flat trainers they are better than a running trainer for stability when lifting weights.
This is a common misconception that you need to be fit to start, CrossFit is infinitely scaleable so no matter your level of fitness our expert coaches will adapt workouts to suit your abilities and have you get the same from the session as everyone else. You don’t need to be fit to start, but you need to start to get fit!
